Welcome to St. Edwards Lenten Mission 2025!

Please join us for a spiritually enriching experience at our retreat which takes place at 11123 Okanagan Centre Rd East, in Lake Country.

You, your family and friends have the unique opportunity to reflect, recharge, and connect with others on a deeper level during the Lenten season. The retreat will feature insightful talks, group discussions, prayer, music, quiet reflection and silent adoration. Themes include faith, hope and prayer. It’s a perfect chance to step back from the busyness of life and focus on your own personal spiritual journey, in preparation for Easter.

The presenter is Deacon Paul Murphy from Vernon. Deacon Murphy was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate on June 14, 2004. He has been married for 40 years and raised 5 children. Upon Ordination, he was assigned to the Cathedral Parish in Calgary, and after 7 years of service there, moved to the Okanagan where he has served as Deacon in Parishes of Vernon, Coldstream, Armstrong, Enderby, and Kamloops since 2011. Deacon Paul provides deaconate training throughout Canada and the USA and has led almost 200 similar missions.

The mission runs on 31 March and 1 April. To accommodate everyone there are afternoon and evening versions. The mission is four hours long in total, divided into two 2-hour sessions. Afternoon session starts at 2:00 beginning with refreshments. The evening session starts at 5:30 beginning with a light dinner. Please arrive early to the parish hall so you can pick-up your refreshment/dinner, as we will start promptly.
